Job Description

The Forward Deployed Engineer will help build and operate the core technical systems behind an AI-powered business integration platform. The role spans agent infrastructure, platform engineering, and integration runtime development, with responsibility for establishing the technical foundations needed to support future product growth.

Working closely with the founding team, the engineer will own production systems end to end, establish engineering standards, and deliver continuous improvements. This position is suited to a versatile software engineer with broad engineering experience, strong ownership, and the ability to apply AI-assisted development tools while maintaining production-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and operate the agent platform, infrastructure, and integrations runtime from end to end.
  • Establish engineering patterns, technical standards, and development practices that support future team growth.
  • Collaborate directly with company founders to shape system architecture and technical direction.
  • Design, implement, deploy, and maintain production systems across platform infrastructure and integrations.
  • Regularly deliver production improvements that strengthen reliability, scalability, and product capabilities.
  • Apply AI coding agents effectively while ensuring code quality, maintainability, and production readiness.

Qualifications

  • Between 2 and 9 years of professional software engineering experience, with a broad technical background extending beyond machine learning alone.
  • A completed or in-progress bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or PhD in engineering, computer science, or a quantitative field from a strong technical university.
  • Demonstrated experience repeatedly shipping and owning production systems end to end.
  • Experience or demonstrated capability across agent platforms, infrastructure, and integration runtimes.
  • Comfort using multiple AI coding agents, combined with sound engineering judgment and a strong focus on production quality.
  • Experience founding a startup with external funding or full-time employees, or working as an engineer at an early-stage startup backed by a recognized accelerator or venture capital firm.
