Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end Search & Discovery systems and contribute to next-generation AI products supporting business growth.
• Drive key technical developments, resolve complex engineering challenges, and overcome technical blockers.
• Design robust machine learning systems while maintaining strong operational excellence.
• Use data and business metrics to identify significant opportunities for improving search relevance and customer experiences.
• Collaborate closely with partner teams and stakeholders to establish effective technical strategies and deliver large-scale initiatives.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering talent.
• Work closely with senior Search leadership to identify important search problems and explore innovations in deep learning, large language models, and related technologies.
• Design and optimize systems across the technology stack, including machine learning, data pipelines, and real-time serving infrastructure.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while maintaining alignment across teams and functions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in technology companies.
• Broad and deep knowledge of information retrieval, deep learning, large language models, data processing, and real-time serving.
• Proven experience delivering large and complex technology systems with significant business impact.
• Strong system design, architecture, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical teams and functional areas.
• Experience working with search and recommendation systems is preferred.
• Experience with search relevance and query understanding is preferred.
• Experience serving as a technical lead or managing engineering teams is preferred.
• Ability to understand business requirements and work backward to develop effective technical solutions.
• Strong execution skills and the ability to drive complex initiatives from design through delivery.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base compensation may vary by geographic market and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
• The source posting lists a base salary range of $174,000 to $299,000 per year.
