Key Responsibilities
AI Intelligence Platform
- Design, implement, and continuously improve AI-powered workflows that transform structured and unstructured data into actionable business intelligence.
- Build systems that enable AI to perform increasingly sophisticated analytical tasks while maintaining quality, accuracy, and reliability.
- Develop and refine AI workflows, prompt engineering strategies, evaluation frameworks, and automation systems.
- Increase the speed, quality, and scale of analytical work through AI-powered automation.
- Explore and implement emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
Analytics & Data Infrastructure
- Develop scalable data pipelines, dashboards, reporting systems, and analytical models.
- Build analytics infrastructure that supports product decisions, customer insights, restaurant intelligence, and strategic partnerships.
- Design and maintain systems that process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Apply modern data engineering and analytics best practices to improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
Data Intelligence & Business Insights
- Analyze millions of AI-generated restaurant attributes and social media signals.
- Identify emerging consumer trends, marketplace opportunities, product insights, and business recommendations.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights that can influence company strategy.
- Develop analytical models and systems that turn data into measurable business value.
AI Quality & Platform Reliability
- Continuously improve the quality, accuracy, and reliability of data and AI-generated outputs.
- Monitor data quality and identify anomalies across AI and data systems.
- Troubleshoot data and AI platform issues.
- Optimize systems for scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Establish evaluation and monitoring frameworks for AI-assisted analytical workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience building scalable analytical systems.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, AWS services, Git, relational databases, and modern data platforms.
- Strong experience with AI platforms, APIs, and frameworks.
- Experience working with large language models and prompt engineering.
- Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search, AI agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), LangGraph, LangChain, or similar technologies.
- Experience building scalable data pipelines, analytical models, dashboards, and reporting systems.
- Experience with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or similar search and indexing platforms.
- Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.
- Strong understanding of AI and its potential to transform business operations.
- Ability to develop AI-powered systems that improve the scalability and quality of analytical work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-paced startup environments.
- Previous startup experience.
- Must live in the San Francisco Bay Area and be able to commute to the San Francisco office.
