The organization is growing rapidly and has secured significant funding to expand its AI platform and product capabilities. Its platform is designed to help engineers build, deploy, and operate AI applications and models efficiently at scale.

The organization is seeking an AI Engineer to join its Training Product team and build AI-driven product experiences for customers training and post-training frontier models. This role will also focus on expanding the organization’s internal use of AI by transforming manual workflows into reliable, agentic systems that increase productivity across engineering, research, and go-to-market teams.

The successful candidate will work closely with research engineers to transform successful internal research workflows into customer-facing products. This is a hands-on role with significant autonomy, requiring the ability to identify valuable problems, develop reliable AI systems, create execution flows and guardrails, and take ownership of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship agentic product experiences, including chat-style and assistant-like interfaces, from initial prototypes through general availability.
• Design harnesses, execution flows, and guardrails that make AI systems reliable and effective in production environments.
• Develop internal automation and AI tooling that measurably improves the productivity of engineering, research, and go-to-market teams.
• Partner with research engineers to identify product opportunities from internal research workflows and transform them into customer-facing features.
• Define and instrument evaluations to measure whether changes meaningfully improve AI output quality.
• Work across the technology stack, including API layers, backend systems, agent orchestration, and frontend applications, to deliver features end to end.
• Use the organization’s training and inference products to develop a deep understanding of customer workflows and requirements.
• Identify opportunities where AI can replace manual processes across the organization and build practical solutions.
• Troubleshoot bugs and resolve customer issues with urgency and ownership.
• Develop reliable AI systems that can support real-world customer workflows and production use cases.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping software applications.
• Demonstrated experience building AI or LLM-powered products, agents, or agentic workflows that real users depend on.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to solve complex technical problems beyond prompt engineering.
• Ability to develop accurate mental models of how software systems, AI models, and the supporting harnesses work internally.
• Strong proficiency in Python and fluency in at least one additional programming language.
• Experience building reliable AI-powered applications and workflows.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment with limited structure.
• Ability to transition effectively between customer-facing product development and internal automation initiatives.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect technical concepts with business and customer requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take ownership of projects from concept through implementation.
