A leading global technology organization is transforming how marketing teams operate by integrating AI directly into core workflows rather than simply adding AI tools to existing processes. Its AI Strategy & Innovation team focuses on developing and scaling AI-powered solutions across paid media, lifecycle marketing, data science, and marketing analytics.

The organization is seeking a Group Manager, Forward Deployed AI Engineering to lead a team of 6–8 Forward-Deployed AI Engineers working across multiple marketing functions. The role focuses on enabling the engineering team to identify high-priority opportunities, remove obstacles, improve technical quality, and ensure successful AI solutions can be adopted and scaled across the organization.

The successful candidate will provide technical and people leadership without being responsible for day-to-day agent development. The role will involve developing team capabilities, supporting recruitment, establishing effective engineering practices, and helping define a scalable operating model for forward-deployed AI engineering.

What You Bring

• Strong technical knowledge of modern AI concepts and the ability to lead an AI engineering team effectively.
• Working knowledge of agentic systems, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM evaluation, knowledge graphs, context window management, tool use, and tool orchestration.
• Experience working within a growth marketing or marketing technology organization and a strong understanding of how marketing teams operate.
• Ability to understand marketing objectives, performance metrics, and the factors that influence adoption of AI-powered solutions.
• Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to present complex AI concepts clearly to VP-level and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to provide engineers with direct, constructive, and actionable feedback.
• Demonstrated ability to develop people and increase the capabilities and impact of engineers or analysts.
• Experience coordinating multiple functions and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Active use of AI tools and platforms in professional work.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of people-management experience in AI, data science, machine learning, or a closely related technical field.
• Strong working knowledge of modern AI concepts, including agentic systems, knowledge graphs, RAG, context window management, and tool use.
• Experience working with a marketing or marketing technology organization.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor technical professionals.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience translating technical AI concepts for executive audiences.
• Proven ability to coordinate effectively across multiple functions and collaborators.
• Experience actively using AI tools and platforms in professional workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a forward-deployed, embedded, or solutions engineering environment where trust must be established quickly and value delivered within another team’s environment.
• Experience building or scaling internal AI programs, centers of excellence, or AI enablement functions.
• Familiarity with marketing technology ecosystems, including customer data platforms (CDPs), marketing automation, analytics platforms, and campaign management tools.
• Experience partnering on recruiting, hiring, and team-building initiatives.
• Experience establishing processes, standards, and best practices for AI engineering teams.
