Summary
The Solutions Architect, Manager – Tax Transformation will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade web applications while defining technical architecture, guiding development teams, and ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. This role works closely with stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to modernize tax technology platforms and deliver business value through digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges, evaluate technical feasibility, define priorities, and develop application architecture and technology roadmaps.
- Design, deliver, and continuously improve enterprise architecture in partnership with architecture teams.
- Define high-level software architecture, frameworks, protocols, and design patterns.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure modern and competitive solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in implementing complex business logic and software solutions.
- Participate in software development planning, execution, Agile ceremonies, and daily SCRUM meetings.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Establish development standards, guidelines, and performance metrics to deliver business value efficiently.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, responsiveness, and code quality.
- Collaborate across delivery teams and third-party vendors to maintain development standards.
- Identify, mitigate, and escalate product-related risks when necessary.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and DevOps teams to deliver and deploy new features successfully.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor development teams on best practices and modern technologies.
- Develop and maintain technical architecture and design documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with in-office collaboration 2–3 days per week.
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, software design, and enterprise application development.
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, SQL Server, NoSQL, REST APIs, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Microservices Architecture, and Azure.
- Experience applying software design patterns and Agile development methodologies.
- Proven expertise with Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
- One or more relevant professional certifications such as CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure certifications, CISSP, CRISC, SAFe, MCSD, MCSE, Open CA, PSD, or equivalent credentials.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with distributed computing, Angular, MongoDB, NPM, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, serverless computing, and event-driven architectures is an advantage.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
- Strong understanding of networking, application security, performance optimization, and backend services.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and big data technologies is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
