Summary
The VP, Data Business Analyst will manage enterprise data operations, improve data quality, and support data-driven initiatives across investment and business operations. This role combines hands-on data management expertise with strategic oversight to ensure robust, high-performance enterprise data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee end-to-end data management operations in the data warehouse, including monitoring, analyzing, investigating, and resolving daily operational incidents
• Provide advisory support to users and stakeholders regarding data operations and usage
• Oversee data quality management by designing quality metrics and monitoring enterprise data integrity
• Participate actively in enterprise data initiatives and projects
• Collaborate with business teams (Risk Analysts, BMOs, Quantitative Strategists, end-users) to understand requirements and enhance data services, solutions, and strategies
• Evaluate business requests for new data, coordinating with Data Engineers and stakeholders to implement solutions using best-in-class technology and methodology
• Contribute to and review data solution designs to ensure alignment with business and operational needs
• Plan, develop, and execute end-to-end user acceptance testing of data and system changes
• Incorporate data management best practices into operational workflows
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external data providers and vendors
• Support documentation of functional requirements and specifications
• Coach and mentor junior team members
• Improve and streamline data operations processes by analyzing operational metrics (SLAs, customer satisfaction, delivery quality, team efficiency)
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes and operational excellence

Qualifications

• Degree holder with at least 6 years of working experience, including 3+ years in hands-on data management, analysis, business requirements analysis, and data visualization in investment or banking environments
• Strong understanding of data management principles, key controls, data modeling, and data integration
• Agile and fast learner, adaptable to change, meticulous with operational detail
• Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders
• Experience with SDLC implementation methodology or agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
• Familiarity with data warehouse, data models, data management tools, and data extraction/visualization tools such as SQL and Tableau
• Knowledge of Excel formulas/macros advantageous
• Experience with enterprise databases (MS SQL, Snowflake, PostgreSQL) and data integration products (e.g., Informatica) advantageous
• Background in economics or finance-related courses preferred
