A leading healthcare organization in Singapore is seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Data Analyst to strengthen its Department of Data Science. The team focuses on leveraging data analytics, optimization, and machine learning to improve patient outcomes, enhance clinical services, and drive evidence-based decision-making. The organization emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and the practical adoption of data-driven solutions in healthcare.

Summary
The Senior Data Analyst / Data Analyst will design, develop, and implement analytical models, interpret statistical outcomes, and present insights to support projects aimed at improving patient care. The role involves close collaboration with healthcare providers to address challenges using appropriate data science techniques, ensuring solutions are validated, deployed, and adopted effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement analytical models to support healthcare projects
  • Interpret and present statistical results to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to understand challenges and provide data-driven solutions
  • Frame and scope business problems, validate solutions, and manage execution and deployment
  • Build data analytics capabilities around clinical services and conduct feasibility studies
  • Lead research projects and facilitate regular meetings and reporting to management
  • Extract actionable insights from complex datasets to contribute to improved patient outcomes
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, or related quantitative disciplines; Master’s or PhD is an advantage
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience for Data Analyst or 3–5 years for Senior Data Analyst in data science and machine learning
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not required
  • Strong understanding of mathematical and statistical foundations of machine learning
  • Fluency in Python and/or R
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Data retrieval: SQL, REST APIs
    • Data wrangling: pandas or similar tools
    • Data visualization and dashboards: plotly, Tableau, or similar
    • Classical machine learning: scikit-learn or similar
    • Deep learning: TensorFlow and/or PyTorch
  • Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and computational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities
  • Ability to work with incomplete or imperfect data
