A leading aviation group in Singapore is seeking a Data & Analytics Engineer to support its data-driven initiatives across the organization. The company focuses on leveraging advanced analytics, big data platforms, and business intelligence solutions to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and drive strategic decision-making across its subsidiaries.

Summary
The Data & Analytics Engineer is responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable data pipelines, data marts, and business intelligence dashboards. This role provides actionable insights to support business decisions across the organization and ensures high-quality, reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand business processes, applications, and data flows within the organization
  • Build and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines using big data tools and platforms; troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed
  • Develop domain expertise and own data quality and SLAs for various data flows
  • Explore, analyze, and aggregate data to provide business insights to stakeholders; create compelling visualizations and narratives to communicate insights
  • Design, build, and manage data marts to meet growing organizational data needs
  • Participate in project teams to deliver project deliverables, manage resources, and meet timelines
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned
  • Operate as an individual contributor, with potential postings across subsidiaries in the group

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Data Science & Analytics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Strong communication skills to understand business objectives and develop end-to-end data solutions
  • Ability to analyze data, identify gaps and inconsistencies, and recommend actionable solutions
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL and Python
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP; infrastructure-as-code and DevOps experience is a plus
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining ETL pipelines
  • Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau
