A leading global financial services organization is seeking a Data Science Analyst to join its Credit and Fraud Risk organization. The company leverages advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to enhance customer experiences, optimize decision-making frameworks, and manage enterprise risks across consumer and commercial businesses worldwide. The team delivers industry-first data capabilities to support profitable decisions and drive innovation in digital services.

Summary
The Data Science Analyst will act as a key contributor within the Decision Science team, blending business, technical, and analytical methodologies to develop models, algorithms, and insights that improve digital customer experiences. The role involves handling enterprise risks across global products and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Build reports, predictive models, and machine learning algorithms to enhance online and mobile customer experiences
  • Work with product owners to apply data-driven approaches in redefining product and content design
  • Collaborate with technology teams to test, implement, and deploy modeling solutions into production
  • Transform complex behavioral data into actionable insights about customer behavior
  • Leverage closed-loop data from digital channels to improve decision relevance and intelligence
  • Work with extensive digital data sources (Web, App, API), external data, and advanced tools in a Big Data environment
  • Innovate by developing new approaches using big data and machine learning solutions

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, etc.) or MBA with hands-on analytical experience
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or equivalent analytical languages, and experience with databases such as Hive or SQL
  • Knowledge of SAS is a plus but not required
  • Deep understanding of machine learning and statistical algorithms, including deep learning and boosting
  • Experience with data visualization tools is a plus
  • Ability to frame business problems mathematically and engineer solutions using external methods and tools
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • 1–2 years of experience in AI/ML or Data Analytics preferred
  • Ability to work independently on complex, unstructured initiatives
  • Experience integrating with global, cross-functional business partners
  • Proficiency in presentation tools such as Excel and PowerPoint
