A leading healthcare organization is seeking a visionary AI Product Owner to advance its agentic AI initiatives. The company focuses on delivering innovative healthcare solutions, improving customer engagement, and optimizing operational efficiency through cutting-edge AI technologies and strategic product leadership.

About the Role
The Lead AI Product Owner will shape the future of the organization’s agentic AI framework, driving product strategy and innovation across a broad product domain. This leadership role involves guiding a team of Product Owners, mentoring their growth, and ensuring that AI product initiatives align with business objectives and the AI Center of Excellence vision. This position is eligible for the Flex Persona for candidates local to the Boston, MA office.

Responsibilities

  • Define Product Area Strategy & Vision: Champion the long-term vision and strategy for your designated AI product domain.
  • Own the Strategic Roadmap: Develop and manage the strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Lead Cross-Domain Collaboration: Partner with other Lead Product Owners, business leaders, and AI Architects for seamless delivery of end-to-end AI solutions.
  • Mentor and Lead a Team: Guide, coach, and develop a team of Senior Product Owners and Product Owners, fostering a strong product-focused culture.
  • Drive Business Value: Take accountability for business value, ROI, and performance metrics, communicating impact to senior leadership.
  • Manage Senior Stakeholders: Build and maintain relationships with senior business stakeholders and executive sponsors, translating needs into strategic product initiatives.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Maintain deep knowledge of market trends, competitor strategies in AI agent space, and emerging Generative AI technologies to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of technical development experience, preferably in full-stack development, with healthcare payer domain knowledge
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and coaching product owner teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with senior business stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
  • Strong knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including model training, RAG architecture, and major AI platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience defining and championing a long-term product vision and strategy for a technical product domain
