About the Role:
A growing IT services company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pre-Sales Technical Consultant to join their team. As a subject matter expert in Data Center and Campus Networking solutions, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue and increasing profitability. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating their business needs into innovative and robust technical solutions. This is a key role within the pre-sales process, requiring deep technical expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Consulting: Provide expert technical guidance and support to the Sales team, enabling them to effectively position and sell Data Center and Campus Networking solutions.
- Solution Design: Gather and analyze client requirements to architect and design highly available, secure, and scalable solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Proposal Development: Develop comprehensive technical proposals, including solution architecture diagrams, optimized bill of materials, and compelling value propositions.
- Technology Expertise: Maintain deep technical knowledge across a broad range of Cisco and Aruba networking technologies.
- Proof-of-Concept: Conduct proof-of-concept demonstrations to showcase the feasibility and value of proposed solutions.
- Client Presentations: Deliver persuasive technical presentations to clients, clearly articulating the benefits and advantages of the solutions.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and technical expert.
- Market Awareness: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the Data Center and Campus Networking space.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related IT field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT pre-sales or solutioning, with a focus on Data Center and Campus Networking solutions within the Telecommunications or IT industry.
- Certifications: CCIE certification is required (R&S, Data Center, or Security preferred).
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with a range of networking technologies, including (but not limited to) F5, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, and Arista.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage senior-level executives.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business needs and the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
- Teamwork: A collaborative team player with a proactive and results-oriented attitude.
- Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
