The organization is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to help operationalize AI modernization at the enterprise level. The role focuses on deploying AI solutions within engineering organizations, integrating agentic workflows into existing development processes, and driving measurable improvements in productivity and adoption.

As one of the early members of the Applied AI Engineering function, the successful candidate will also help establish scalable practices by turning customer engagements into repeatable playbooks, digital learning resources, and partner enablement models that can support engineering teams globally.

This position is suited to an individual with strong engineering fundamentals who enjoys working directly with customers, driving product adoption, solving technical challenges, and helping teams unlock the potential of applied AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed with enterprise engineering teams to drive deep and lasting adoption of AI-powered development tools while owning measurable outcomes.
• Architect and implement agentic workflows across engineering, quality assurance, support, data, and product functions.
• Identify areas where artificial intelligence can provide the highest leverage and develop solutions around those opportunities.
• Lead interactive programs for enterprise engineering teams, including live workshops and pair-programming sessions.
• Guide customers through installing, configuring, and optimizing AI development tools and associated integrations.
• Pair-program on live production problems to demonstrate effective AI usage patterns and improve customers’ applied AI capabilities.
• Quantify business and engineering impact by tracking productivity metrics, identifying return-on-investment opportunities, and supporting expansion decisions.
• Work with leadership to transform field learnings into structured playbooks, best practices, and scalable methodologies.
• Create enablement materials and shared resources based on customer experiences and successful implementation strategies.

Requirements for the Role

• Degree in a STEM field or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer, technical consultant, deployment strategist, forward-deployed engineer, solutions engineer, or in a similar role with strong coding proficiency.
• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated experience driving technical adoption and measurable impact within engineering organizations.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how successful technical engagements contribute to account growth.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt exceptionally quickly.

Additional Experience That May Be Valuable

• Experience leading developer enablement, platform adoption, or internal AI modernization initiatives with measurable before-and-after results.
• Experience deploying or integrating large language models or agent-based systems in production environments.
• Experience founding or joining early-stage startups where autonomy, ownership, and execution speed were critical.
• A strong interest in helping engineering teams increase their velocity and deliberately creating sustainable productivity improvements.
