Job Description

The SpringCube team curated the following job opportunity to help you in your job search. Explore the position below to find your next career move.

Company Overview

A leading global financial technology company provides an intelligent finance platform that helps businesses manage spending, corporate cards, banking, bill payments, travel, and financial operations across more than 200 markets. Its AI-native automation combines proprietary financial data with product and platform infrastructure to simplify complex financial workflows and reduce manual accounting and expense tasks.

The organization serves tens of thousands of companies worldwide and fosters a collaborative, inclusive environment where employees are encouraged to challenge conventional approaches, develop their skills, and take ownership of meaningful product initiatives.

AI at the Organization

The AI Engineering team is developing intelligent and autonomous systems that are integrated directly into the financial platform. These systems use AI agents to optimize spending, manage workflows, surface insights, and make real-time decisions on behalf of customers.

By combining proprietary financial data with product and platform infrastructure, the organization is transforming complex financial operations into automated experiences and advancing the way modern businesses manage finance.

The organization is seeking an AI Engineer, Product to work as a product engineer on an Audit Agent, an agentic system designed to review customer spending at scale and reduce the manual work traditionally performed by business process outsourcing teams.

The role will focus on building the product infrastructure surrounding the AI agent, ensuring that its reasoning can be transformed into reliable, trustworthy, and actionable experiences for customers and reviewers. The engineer will design workflows, user interfaces, data flows, and feedback systems that connect the agent with the organization’s financial systems.

The position will require flexibility across backend and frontend engineering, with the majority of the work focused on system design, data modeling, APIs, and backend architecture. The engineer will also contribute directly to the user interface when the customer problem requires frontend development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and launch customer-facing product features from initial concepts through production rollout and continuous iteration.
  • Define and maintain data contracts between the AI agent and the organization’s financial system of record.
  • Develop feedback and evaluation loops that capture product signals and translate them into improvements to workflows, interfaces, and agent performance.
  • Conduct experiments involving user interfaces, prompt-driven product changes, and new review experiences.
  • Use product and customer data to evaluate experiments and determine future development priorities.
  • Communicate directly with customers and reviewers to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into product decisions.
  • Collaborate across engineering and product teams to ensure the connection between agent reasoning and human workflows provides an effective user experience.
  • Contribute across backend and frontend development based on the requirements of each product problem.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong track record of delivering customer-facing features end-to-end across both backend and frontend development.
  • Strong product mindset with the ability to prioritize users, workflows, and business outcomes.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and communicating directly with customers.
  • Strong bias toward action and experience working in environments where solutions must be identified and developed independently.
  • Ability to collaborate across organizational and technical boundaries and challenge decisions when necessary.
  • Strong backend engineering foundation, including system design, data modeling, and API development.
  • Willingness and ability to build frontend experiences directly when required by the customer problem.
  • Ability to work effectively at the intersection of AI agent design, user experience, data architecture, and product development.

Work Arrangement

This position is based in San Francisco and follows a hybrid working model. Employees are expected to work from the office three coordinated days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The role also provides the flexibility to work fully remotely for up to four weeks per year.
