Key Responsibilities
- Own ambiguous, cross-functional AI initiatives from identifying high-impact opportunities through prototype development and production deployment.
- Build and ship internal applications, prototypes, automations, and AI-powered workflows at high velocity.
- Translate vague business problems into functional software solutions and iterate with users toward production-quality tools.
- Define reusable engineering patterns, reference architectures, internal libraries, MCPs, and skills or plugins that enable teams to build faster and more safely.
- Work directly with teams across customer experience, Trust & Safety, operations, and go-to-market functions to identify high-value opportunities.
- Integrate AI tools with internal systems and data sources through APIs, connectors, webhooks, and event-driven workflows.
- Develop automations that interact with real business data and operational systems rather than isolated or experimental inputs.
- Package successful solutions into reusable skills, playbooks, and internal resources.
- Conduct enablement sessions, boot camps, and mentorship programs to help other employees build with AI.
- Evaluate emerging AI models, tools, platforms, and development patterns as the ecosystem evolves.
- Make informed build-versus-buy decisions based on business requirements, technical complexity, scalability, reliability, and cost.
- Establish technical standards for AI development and help raise the organization’s overall engineering capabilities.
- Consider reliability, latency, cost, security, and access controls when integrating AI with business systems.
Who You Are
- A prolific technical builder with strong senior-level judgment who can ship quickly, iterate with users, and prioritize opportunities based on business impact.
- Experienced in measuring success through problems solved, adoption of tools, and organizational leverage created.
- Highly proficient in applied AI development using modern large language model products and AI platforms.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AI development patterns including prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI agents, and evaluation frameworks.
- Familiar with modern AI tools, agent frameworks, and third-party AI platforms.
- Experienced in integrating AI solutions with real-world data and business systems through APIs, webhooks, connectors, and other integration methods.
- Strong understanding of reliability, latency, cost management, security, and access-control considerations when deploying AI solutions.
- Able to define reusable technical patterns and architectures that other engineering teams can adopt.
- Experienced in mentoring engineers and helping raise technical standards across an organization.
- Strong communicator who can work directly with non-technical stakeholders, understand their workflows, translate their needs into software, and help them build solutions independently.
- Demonstrates high ownership, initiative, and a low-ego approach to solving organizational inefficiencies.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and making decisions with limited information.
- Able to move fluidly across frontend, backend, data, and AI technology stacks.
Compensation Note
The stated salary range may cover multiple levels applicable to the position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including the candidate’s level, relevant experience, skills, and expertise. The stated range represents base salary or hourly compensation only and does not include benefits or equity.
