The Opportunity
The Data Scientist will play a strategic role in analyzing product and business data to uncover opportunities, develop analytical strategies, and provide insights that influence product roadmaps and business decisions.
The role requires a hands-on data science professional who can combine strong technical expertise with business understanding, experimentation, and effective communication. The successful candidate will help build a strong data-driven culture while contributing to the continued growth and improvement of the product.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and lead analytics initiatives by analyzing product data to uncover new business and product opportunities.
- Develop and implement machine learning strategies and roadmaps.
- Partner directly with product development teams and leadership to inform business strategies and product roadmaps through analytical insights.
- Design, implement, and analyze A/B experiments to evaluate product improvements and business initiatives.
- Deliver comprehensive analytical reports and actionable insights that support product enhancements.
- Promote a strong data-driven culture across data science and product teams.
- Share product insights that encourage experimentation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with development teams on product instrumentation, user-flow analysis, and data capture.
- Help establish and maintain strong data foundations that support reliable analysis and decision-making.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for product and commercial leaders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, applied mathematics, operations research, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field is preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on technical experience in a data science role.
- Proven ability to explore and analyze large datasets.
- Strong ability to extract meaningful insights from complex data and translate findings into measurable business results.
- Strong understanding of data analysis and statistical concepts.
- Creative thinking and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated experience deriving actionable insights from data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present analytical findings to product and commercial leadership.
- Experience with machine learning modeling and data inference is highly desirable.
- Strong ownership and initiative, with the ability to independently drive solutions through completion.
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving complex problems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
