About the Team
The global data science team works across Australia, China, the United States, and Singapore, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
The team applies advanced data science, engineering, and analytical techniques to solve complex business problems and develop solutions that support the future of financial technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the modeling and analysis roadmap for the FX product.
- Identify high-impact opportunities and prioritize analytical initiatives in partnership with Product Managers.
- Develop and maintain models to forecast and monitor FX rate volatility.
- Provide actionable insights to support trading and execution strategies.
- Apply statistical and machine learning models to optimize FX trade execution.
- Focus on minimizing execution costs, improving routing efficiency, and managing market risk exposure.
- Conduct customer cohort, profitability, segmentation, and other data-driven analyses.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable trading and product decisions.
- Partner with Product Managers, Traders, Risk, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate analytical insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Influence business strategies and decision-making through rigorous analytical work.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of industry experience.
- Advanced degree, such as a PhD or MS, in a quantitative field including Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, Computer Science, or Economics.
- Strong ability to perform statistical analysis and develop machine learning models to support data-informed decisions.
- Expert proficiency in data querying languages such as SQL.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and/or statistical or mathematical software such as R.
- Experience communicating analytical results to executives and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial markets, foreign exchange, and/or dynamic trading systems.
- Experience working in technology, financial services, or trading environments.
- Experience working in high-growth organizations.
- Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
- Experience applying machine learning and statistical modeling to financial or trading problems.
- Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Trading teams.
