A leading global professional services organization is seeking an experienced Data Engineer – Project Delivery Specialist to join its Project Delivery team. The organization is seeking a Data Engineer – Project Delivery Specialist to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based data platforms that enable analytics and downstream business applications. This role requires extensive expertise in modern data engineering, cloud technologies, and enterprise data architecture while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance data solutions.
The successful candidate will work across large-scale delivery programs to develop production-grade data pipelines, optimize data platforms, and implement best practices in data engineering, governance, and automation. This position also requires strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills to support enterprise data transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable batch and near real-time data pipelines on AWS.
- Design robust data ingestion frameworks from multiple source systems into Amazon S3 and Snowflake.
- Develop transformation layers and curated datasets within Snowflake using dimensional modeling and data product design principles.
- Implement orchestration and workflow automation with support for retries, backfills, and idempotent processing.
- Develop reusable Python components for data ingestion, validation, transformation, and automation.
- Perform code reviews, testing, and enforce engineering best practices across the data platform.
- Optimize Snowflake performance and cost through warehouse sizing, query tuning, workload isolation, clustering, and micro-partition optimization.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into well-defined datasets and data contracts.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and technical updates with engagement managers and cross-functional teams.
- Lead and contribute to client engagements focused on process optimization, operational improvements, and implementation of leading data engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer delivering production-grade data pipelines and curated datasets.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and Python, including Snowflake and/or PySpark for scalable data processing and ELT development.
- 7+ years of experience designing, building, and operating batch and near real-time data pipelines on cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Experience working with data integration frameworks and orchestration tools.
- Strong knowledge of Lakehouse and data warehouse architectures and ELT methodologies.
- Experience implementing DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Ability to optimize data storage, partitioning strategies, file formats such as Delta and Parquet, and platform performance.
- Understanding of data quality, governance, metadata management, and enterprise data standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to travel up to 10% based on project and client requirements.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

- 5–10 years of experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience delivering technical presentations and demonstrations.
