Working alongside software engineers, AI engineers, product managers and platform teams, you will design and build highly scalable, real-time data pipelines that support analytics, machine learning and AI-powered healthcare applications.

This is an opportunity to work on large-scale, mission-critical systems that have a direct impact on healthcare accessibility and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines.
  • Build robust data ingestion frameworks from multiple internal and external data sources.
  • Develop streaming data solutions using Apache Kafka.
  • Design high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines and data processing workflows.
  • Build and optimise data lakes and modern data platform architectures.
  • Collaborate with AI and Machine Learning teams to prepare and deliver high-quality datasets for model training and inference.
  • Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise data workflows and AI applications.
  • Support video analytics platforms by building data pipelines for video metadata, event processing and AI-generated insights.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security and regulatory compliance across the platform.
  • Optimise database performance, storage and query execution.
  • Monitor production data pipelines and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong experience building large-scale distributed data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and real-time event streaming architectures.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with Spark or other distributed data processing frameworks.
  • Experience building cloud-native data platforms on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing and data lake architectures.
  • Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and microservices.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications.
  • Experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
  • Experience working with vector databases and embeddings.
  • Experience supporting AI and Generative AI platforms.
  • Experience building data pipelines for video analytics, computer vision or multimedia processing systems.
  • Experience with healthcare, digital health or regulated industries is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy and security best practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for building scalable data platforms that solve real-world problems.
  • A continuous learning mindset with an interest in AI and emerging technologies.

Why Join
