The organization is seeking an M&A Data Analytics Manager to support transaction advisory teams by gathering, validating, analyzing, and normalizing transactional, commercial, financial, and operational data for mergers and acquisitions. This role plays a critical part in developing and testing investment hypotheses, delivering actionable insights, and helping clients make informed transaction decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, validate, and normalize transactional, commercial, and operational data to support M&A transaction activities.
  • Collaborate with client business and IT teams to identify, collect, and validate data within highly regulated environments.
  • Assess revenue quality, payer mix, reimbursement exposure, pricing dynamics, and contract structures.
  • Design and develop dashboards, visualizations, and reporting tools that provide actionable buy-side and sell-side insights.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Utilize business intelligence and analytics tools to generate meaningful insights that support investment theses and transaction decisions.
  • Present findings and recommendations directly to clients, including C-suite executives and private equity stakeholders.
  • Work closely with transaction service professionals and deal teams to deliver analyses within demanding transaction timelines.
  • Lead project workstreams and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Mentor and develop consultants, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth across project teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing large datasets.
  • Experience working with accounting, financial, transactional, or operational data.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and cycles, including order-to-cash, procurement, supply chain, inventory management, and revenue operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business analytics methodologies and relational database concepts.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to extract, analyze, and visualize insights from large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL and data preparation tools such as Alteryx or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or comparable technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex findings clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proven project leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in dynamic environments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% based on client and project requirements.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, transaction services, due diligence, or private equity engagements.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong client service mindset with experience engaging executive-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across diverse teams and organizations.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.
