The organization is seeking a Data Scientist to join a cross-functional team focused on evaluating routing service quality, ensuring accuracy and reliability, and identifying opportunities for improvement. This role works closely with engineering, product, and operations teams responsible for routing data and service algorithms that impact millions of users daily.

The successful candidate will contribute across multiple areas of data science, including experimental design, A/B testing, exploratory data analysis, machine learning, data mining, and large-scale analytics. This position offers the opportunity to influence product direction through data-driven insights and innovative analytical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build data products such as feature datasets, analytical frameworks, predictive models, and scalable tools using technologies such as Python or Scala.
• Drive hypothesis generation and support collaborative decision-making with engineering and product management teams.
• Design, develop, and validate actionable metrics to measure component-level performance, overall user engagement, and user experience.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate complex data-driven and machine learning-based systems.
• Develop models and analyses to process large-scale datasets, extract insights, and identify opportunities for product enhancements.
• Automate analytical workflows and data pipelines using SQL and Python/Scala-based ETL frameworks.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders to influence product strategy and development.
• Translate business objectives and product challenges into actionable data science solutions.
• Explore emerging machine learning and Generative AI techniques, developing prototypes to evaluate their applicability to mapping and routing-related challenges.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in large-scale data analysis or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Strong proficiency in SQL or other database query languages.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business questions into technical requirements and apply statistical techniques to solve complex problems.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with A/B testing and causal inference methodologies.
• Knowledge of spatial data analysis techniques.
• Experience working with large-scale data processing technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
• Experience developing automated analytics pipelines at scale.
• Knowledge of mapping, transportation, or GIS-related domains.
• Experience mentoring junior data scientists and leading projects of varying complexity and scope.
