The organization is seeking a Staff Data Scientist, Growth Analytics Engineering to serve as the technical lead for its Growth Analytics function. This role will partner closely with Growth, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Data Science stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, shape strategic initiatives, and deliver impactful, data-driven solutions across the business.

The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and business acumen to drive measurable outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to mentor team members, influence company-wide strategies, and contribute to the organization’s next phase of global growth through analytics and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical partner to Growth, Marketing, Sales, and Data Science leaders to support and implement growth strategies.
  • Lead and mentor team members in applying data science methodologies, including statistical modeling, experimentation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Develop scalable measurement frameworks to enable data-driven decision-making across multiple business functions.
  • Communicate complex analytical insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Translate ambiguous or complex business challenges into structured, high-impact data science initiatives.
  • Serve as the technical owner for critical cross-functional projects and provide mentorship to junior data scientists.
  • Identify opportunities to improve acquisition, activation, retention, and reactivation strategies through advanced analytics.
  • Partner with stakeholders to establish scalable experimentation and performance measurement practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of industry experience in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring data science or analytics teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence strategy in high-growth, cross-functional environments.
  • Proven track record of leveraging data science to deliver measurable business growth outcomes.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python or R; experience with data modeling is an advantage.
  • Experience working within technology, financial services, fintech, or other high-growth environments is preferred.
  • Experience mentoring teams in startup or fast-paced environments is beneficial.
