The organization is seeking a Staff Data Scientist, Algorithm, Financial Markets Engineering to lead the modeling and analytical strategy for foreign exchange (FX) products. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact financial market challenges, leveraging statistical analysis, machine learning, and data science techniques to support trading, risk management, and product innovation.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Risk, and Finance to deliver actionable insights and scalable solutions that influence business strategy and optimize financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the modeling and analysis roadmap for FX products, identifying high-impact opportunities and prioritizing initiatives in partnership with Product Managers.
  • Develop and maintain models to forecast and monitor FX rate volatility, delivering actionable insights to support trading and execution strategies.
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to optimize FX trade execution, minimize costs, improve routing efficiency, and manage market risk exposure.
  • Conduct data-driven analyses, including customer cohort analysis, profitability analysis, and customer segmentation, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Traders, Risk teams, Engineering, and other stakeholders to translate analytical findings into product and trading decisions.
  • Communicate analytical insights and recommendations clearly to cross-functional teams to influence business strategies and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with global teams across multiple regions to solve complex data challenges within the fintech ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the advancement of data science capabilities and best practices across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in data science, machine learning, or quantitative analysis within financial services, fintech, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques and their application to financial market data.
  • Experience developing predictive models and monitoring frameworks for market behavior and volatility analysis.
  • Hands-on experience optimizing trading strategies, execution models, or financial algorithms.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, programming languages, and machine learning frameworks.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex analytical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and building impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment.
