The organization is seeking a Senior Data Scientist, People and Talent Engineering to own and scale its People & Talent (P&T) data ecosystem. This role will be responsible for transforming HR and recruiting data into a robust analytics foundation that supports strategic decision-making across People & Talent, Finance, Revenue Strategy, and Engineering teams.

The successful candidate will combine expertise in data science, analytics, data engineering, and stakeholder management to build scalable data products, improve governance standards, and drive AI-enabled insights. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-visibility initiatives that enhance workforce planning, talent acquisition, and people operations at a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all People & Talent (P&T) data assets, including data models, pipelines, documentation, and governance across HR and recruiting systems.
  • Build and maintain scalable dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics solutions for stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize analytics initiatives, manage the P&T data roadmap, and improve automation and data quality.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on people data, including metric definitions, troubleshooting, and user guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy requirements, and user access controls for sensitive HR information.
  • Enable AI-powered and self-service analytics capabilities to improve business decision-making.
  • Develop context layers that make people data more accessible and actionable across the organization.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance the People & Talent analytics ecosystem in support of global growth.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative field with ownership of data models, pipelines, and dashboards in production environments.
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python and/or R, with experience handling large and complex datasets.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks and transformation frameworks including dbt.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable analytics projects and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with causal inference, experimentation, or forecasting methodologies.
  • Strong documentation skills and familiarity with notebook-based analytics tools such as Hex.
  • Hands-on experience with HR and recruiting systems, including HRIS and ATS platforms.
  • Experience working in high-growth technology or fintech environments is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy standards, and access controls related to people and HR data.
  • Experience with AI-powered analytics, self-service tools, or LLM-enabled data access solutions is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a passion for continuous learning.
