The organization is seeking a Manager, Data Science (Marketing) to lead the next generation of marketing data science and AI initiatives. This role will establish and scale the organization’s applied data science capabilities, enabling Marketing, Growth, and Finance teams to make data-driven, ROI-focused investment decisions while leading a team of experienced data scientists.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills, driving innovation in marketing analytics, experimentation, forecasting, and AI while fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build scalable AI and data science foundations, including reusable modeling frameworks, experimentation platforms, and data pipelines.
  • Lead end-to-end data science and AI projects from business requirements through feature engineering, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Establish best practices for model governance, reproducibility, data quality, and system reliability.
  • Apply advanced marketing science techniques, including causal inference, uplift modeling, multi-touch attribution, and media mix modeling.
  • Develop forecasting models and budget allocation frameworks to improve long-term planning and marketing efficiency.
  • Partner with Marketing, Growth, Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to align analytics initiatives with business objectives.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of data scientists while promoting technical rigor and innovation.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging generative AI and predictive AI solutions for personalization, audience segmentation, campaign optimization, and creative analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data science with direct impact on marketing, growth, or revenue optimization.
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL, including query optimization and window functions.
  • Strong experience with experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing, causal inference, uplift modeling, and attribution modeling.
  • Proven experience developing forecasting, optimization, and marketing budget allocation models.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Experience using business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent data storytelling, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring senior data scientists.
  • Proven ability to define strategic direction while balancing experimentation with long-term platform investments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with experimentation and analytics platforms such as Optimizely, GrowthBook, Google Analytics, or Amplitude.
  • Experience integrating marketing APIs, including Google, Meta, and programmatic advertising platforms.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI or Large Language Model (LLM) applications in marketing.
  • Knowledge of multi-arm bandits and contextual bandit algorithms for adaptive experimentation.
  • Understanding of MLOps practices, including version control, model monitoring, and scalable ETL pipelines.
