Summary
As a Principal AI Engineer, you will be a technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable AI systems. You will guide the architecture of AI-driven cybersecurity solutions, mentor engineering teams, and drive innovation across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the AI layer for autonomous detection, RAG-backed investigation, and auto-remediation workflows
  • Develop and productionize large-scale LLMs, graph-based reasoning engines, and streaming feature pipelines processing billions of security events
  • Own evaluation and reliability, including prompt libraries, fine-tuning, red-team testing, latency management, and fallback strategies
  • Mentor and grow AI engineers, run design reviews, uphold code quality, and instill a security-first mindset
  • Collaborate with Product, Detection Engineering, and Customer Success to convert real-world attacker behavior into ML and rule-based detections
  • Experiment with retrieval-augmented generation, tool-calling agents, and multi-modal models (text + logs + graphs)
  • Push technical boundaries to keep defenders ahead

Required Skills & Qualifications

Software Engineering & Architecture Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in software development with modern languages (Python, Go, Rust, Java)
  • Deep knowledge of LLM architecture, prompt engineering, and vector database workflows
  • Hands-on experience building agents, orchestration frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph, Agno AGI, or custom), and evaluation harnesses
  • Strong understanding of microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and event-driven systems
  • Fundamentals in API design (REST/gRPC) and distributed systems
  • Clear communication and collaborative problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in cybersecurity (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, MDR)
  • Familiarity with graph databases or security-focused knowledge graphs
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure security (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Leadership experience in high-growth startups or enterprise SaaS

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
