A global technology leader is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to drive its AI and enterprise architecture strategy. Summary
The Principal Enterprise Architect will lead the development and implementation of enterprise architecture strategies, with a strong focus on AI integration and transformation. The role requires expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, AI strategy, and emerging technologies, and includes mentoring, governance, and innovation leadership to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement enterprise architecture strategies that align with business objectives
  • Design and maintain a comprehensive enterprise AI architecture, assessing current AI/ML capabilities and defining target state architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to bridge gaps between current and desired AI capabilities
  • Establish governance frameworks for AI capabilities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain AI/ML reference architectures, patterns, and best practices for enterprise integration
  • Lead architecture review boards to ensure integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct business value stream mapping to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to design and implement enterprise-wide solutions
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and best practices
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and team members
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation
  • Define and implement new responsibilities to mature the enterprise architecture practice
  • Develop strategies for infrastructure and cloud architecture supporting scalability, reliability, and security
  • Model enterprise architecture using Archimate and UML
  • Drive technology innovation and maintain architecture frameworks, standards, and guidelines
  • Oversee IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Manage external vendor and partner relationships to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Monitor emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Cognitive Science, Data Science/Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 20+ years of IT experience, including 6+ years in enterprise architecture focused on AI strategy and transformation projects
  • Proven experience assessing organizational AI capabilities and leading enterprise-wide transformations
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust Agentic AI security architecture
  • Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF and BIZBOK concepts
  • Proficiency in data architecture, modeling, ETL processes, and database technologies
  • Knowledge of business process modeling tools and techniques, including BPMN and ArchiMate
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with cloud computing, data management, and cybersecurity
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail in documentation and presentations
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as SAFe

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP certification
  • ArchiMate 3 Practitioner Certification
  • BPM Certification
  • Semiconductor industry experience and knowledge of cybersecurity
  • Proven success leading large-scale enterprise transformation projects
  • Advanced understanding of financial modeling and ROI for IT investments
