A leading technology-driven logistics platform is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join its Analytics team. About the Role
The Lead Data Scientist will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, develop experiments, and turn insights into actionable recommendations. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on analytics, influencing operational and product decisions across the marketplace. The position offers exposure to large-scale, data-driven challenges across customer acquisition, marketplace efficiency, fraud mitigation, and operational growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and guide junior Data Scientists, providing technical and strategic leadership
  • Influence the Product and Operations roadmap through actionable data-driven recommendations
  • Interface with senior leadership to present insights and tackle complex business problems
  • Drive measurement strategy, define success metrics, and implement best practices for experiment design and statistical analysis
  • Develop strategic learning roadmaps based on data observations, hypotheses, and business questions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to operationalize insights and recommendations

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Science and Product Analytics, preferably within related industries
  • Strong technical expertise and ability to lead through technical insight in a business context
  • Hands-on experience with experimentation and statistical analysis
  • Experience with data pipelines and analytics platforms
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, including presenting complex findings to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in evaluating options and making informed decisions
