A leading technology-driven logistics and delivery platform is seeking a Data Science Manager to join its Merchant Analytics team. The company empowers merchants and consumers through data-driven insights, predictive modeling, and experimentation to improve decision-making, product outcomes, and business impact.

About the Role
The Data Science Manager will lead a pod within the Merchant Analytics team, guiding high-priority product and business decisions through analytics, predictive modeling, and strategic thought partnership. This role involves managing a team of data scientists, collaborating with Strategy & Operations, Product, Engineering, and business leaders, and turning ambiguous problems into actionable recommendations that drive measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of data scientists responsible for analytics, predictive modeling, and decision support aligned with key product, business, and go-to-market priorities
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to shape decisions, influence roadmaps, and improve critical metrics
  • Define success metrics, build measurement frameworks, and create predictive models to connect operational and product levers to business outcomes
  • Build a high-performing pod that balances analytical rigor, prioritization, and clear storytelling in a fast-moving environment
  • Scale reusable analytics frameworks, tools, models, and best practices to enhance organizational effectiveness

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or related quantitative fields, including experience leading complex, ambiguous projects from problem framing through recommendation
  • Proven experience managing and developing data scientists or analysts, setting high standards for quality, ownership, and impact
  • Strong analytical fundamentals including experimentation, predictive modeling, metric design, and translating data into actionable business decisions
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to tailor messaging from teams to senior leadership
  • Highly effective at prioritization, focusing team efforts on the highest-impact work in a fast-paced environment
