Summary
The Data Science Manager will lead a team of data scientists in the logistics analytics function, providing high-impact analytics, predictive modeling, and strategic recommendations to influence product and business decisions. This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate complex questions into clear, actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of data scientists responsible for analytics, predictive modeling, and decision support
  • Partner with Strategy & Operations, Product, Engineering, and business leaders to shape decisions and influence roadmaps
  • Define success metrics, build measurement frameworks, and connect product and operational levers to business outcomes through experimentation and analysis
  • Build a high-performing team that balances analytical rigor, prioritization, and effective storytelling in a fast-paced environment
  • Scale reusable analytics frameworks, tools, models, and best practices to enhance organizational efficiency over time
  • Turn ambiguous business questions into clear recommendations that drive measurable impact

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related quantitative field, including experience leading complex projects from problem framing to recommendation
  • Experience managing and developing data scientists or analysts with high standards for quality, ownership, and impact
  • Strong analytical skills, including experimentation, predictive modeling, metric design, and translating data into actionable business decisions
  • Excellent cross-functional partner and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders from working teams to senior leadership
  • Highly effective at prioritization and focusing the team on the highest-impact work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
