Company Overview
A leading global professional services organization is seeking a Data Scientist to support its Internal Audit (IA) function by implementing digital initiatives and advanced analytics. The organization helps clients across industries modernize processes, leverage technology, and extract actionable insights from complex datasets to drive strategic and operational decisions.

Summary
The Data Scientist (Internal Audit) will implement and deliver the IA department’s digital roadmap, focusing on the Central Audit Analytics Platform (CAAP). This role leverages technology, automation, and data analytics to enhance auditors’ efficiency, effectiveness, and ability to gain deeper insights into operational risks and controls.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture and Data Management

  • Develop architecture and key data pipelines for heterogeneous datasets
  • Ensure solution architecture aligns with IA objectives and business needs
  • Design efficient solutions to achieve initiative outcomes
  • Collaborate with technical teams to build secure data pipelines

Data Analysis and Problem Solving

  • Apply data analytics to structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights
  • Outline data lineage to trace sources of anomalies
  • Use quantitative analysis methods to inform business decisions
  • Leverage the data team’s expertise to solve critical technical challenges

Security and Compliance

  • Address data risks, including those related to PII (Personally Identifiable Information)
  • Ensure secure handling of data throughout all pipelines

Business Decision Support

  • Partner with Internal Auditors to analyze large datasets, trends, and results
  • Enable data-driven operational risk and control decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in data analytics
  • Strong understanding of SAP data, with experience building analytical models using S/4 data preferred
  • Proven expertise in constructing data pipelines and managing data lakes for large, heterogeneous datasets (SAP and non-SAP)
  • Strong technical skills in data analytics tools such as Python or R, and experience with AWS cloud platform
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI to accelerate solution delivery
  • Passion for delivering value and driving successful organizational outcomes
