A global professional services organization is seeking a Data Engineering/Architecture Manager to support public sector initiatives through robust data architecture and analytics solutions. The organization delivers technology consulting, digital transformation, and data-driven insights to help clients modernize operations and make informed decisions.

Summary
The Data Engineering/Architecture Manager will design and implement enterprise-level data solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role requires strong expertise in data modeling, database design, integration, and governance, combined with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop enterprise-level data architecture, including data models, databases, and data warehouses
  • Define and enforce data standards, policies, and governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Architect and implement data integration, ETL processes, and data pipelines
  • Ensure data quality, security, and scalability across the organization
  • Evaluate and recommend data management tools, technologies, and platforms
  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to support data-driven initiatives
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot data-related issues
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in data architecture and technologies

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Public Services environments is preferred but optional
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role
  • Strong expertise in data modeling, database design (relational and non-relational), and data warehousing
  • Proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, and data integration technologies
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus
