Summary
The Data Scientist Manager will analyze complex datasets, develop predictive models, and deliver actionable insights to support strategic and operational business decisions. This role combines technical expertise, leadership capability, and strong stakeholder collaboration to drive impactful analytics solutions within public services.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets for analysis
  • Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms
  • Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve model performance
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in data science, analytics, and machine learning
  • Operate at both strategic and hands-on levels when solving complex problems

Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting Public Services environments is preferred but optional
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
  • Experience working with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or Scikit-learn
  • Solid knowledge of regression models and statistical analysis techniques
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
