A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to guide high-performing AI engineering teams. About the Role
The Lead AI Engineer will serve as a hands-on technical leader, guiding one or more AI engineering teams in building scalable, robust, and agentic AI solutions. This role combines technical expertise, mentorship, and strategic direction to ensure engineering excellence and high-quality delivery of AI products.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of AI engineers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Oversee solution design, leading the implementation of complex AI agent components, Generative AI integrations, and supporting infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to refine technical requirements, estimate efforts, and drive timely delivery of AI features
  • Establish and enforce code review processes to ensure code quality, security, and maintainability
  • Troubleshoot complex technical problems and serve as the primary technical escalation point
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent through coaching and knowledge sharing
  • Evaluate new tools, libraries, and frameworks to enhance team efficiency and capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or related field
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
  • 3+ years of experience developing agentic AI solutions, with strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex AI agent components and RAG architectures
  • Hands-on experience with AI model fine-tuning, performance optimization, scalability, and reliability in production
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience conducting code reviews and leading knowledge-sharing sessions

Preferred / Standout Qualifications

  • Linux/Unix scripting experience
  • Multi-cloud experience across AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Solution Architect Associate certifications, preferably in GCP or AWS

Minimum Education Requirements
High school degree or equivalent unless otherwise specified above
