Job Title: Big Data Engineer – Data Platform
Location: Singapore
Job Description
Responsibilities
• Design and build efficient and reliable data transformations for reporting, growth analysis, and multi-dimensional analysis.
• Develop scalable, robust, and extensible big data systems to support core products and business operations.
• Establish solid design principles and best engineering practices for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Implement techniques and analytics applications to convert raw data into meaningful insights using data-oriented programming languages and visualization tools.
• Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to analyze large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Visualize, interpret, and report data findings, creating dynamic and actionable data reports.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Metastore, Presto, Flume, Kafka, ClickHouse, Flink, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in data analysis, ingestion, and integration.
• Expertise in schema design and data modeling.
• Experience in ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading) and architecting data systems.
• Skilled in writing, analyzing, and debugging SQL queries.
• Experience with data privacy and security projects.
• Deep understanding of Big Data technologies and tools.
• Passionate, self-motivated, and eager to advance Big Data solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
