Job Description
Responsibilities
• Maintain and optimise a highly reliable, fault-tolerant infrastructure that supports massive, real-time energy data processing.
• Ensure infrastructure availability, security, and cost efficiency across the company’s AWS environment.
• Enhance developer experience by creating tools, workflows, and automation to boost productivity.
• Support the ingestion, processing, and presentation of terabytes of data from diverse external sources.
• Collaborate with global teams to standardise technology stacks, implement infrastructure roadmaps, and maintain 100% uptime.
• Codify operational knowledge so R&D teams can focus on business value creation.
• Work with a variety of technologies including Kubernetes, Kubevela, Golang, Kafka, OpenSearch, Airflow, and AWS services.
Requirements
• Determined to build infrastructure that enables a seamless developer experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work with unfamiliar code.
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS, with hands-on experience in cloud-native application design.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, and ElasticSearch operations.
• Proficient in Terraform and Go programming.
• Comfortable with infrastructure monitoring, resiliency, fault-tolerance, and cluster planning.
• Collaborative, proactive, and willing to tackle complex infrastructure challenges.
• Bonus: Experience with Airflow, Parquet, ORC, or Athena for data orchestration and lake analytics.
