Job Title: Associate, AI Data Scientist
Job Description Department Overview:
The International AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE) defines and implements the firm’s AI strategy, driving change through advanced AI capabilities, enforcing data, cloud, and AI governance, and enhancing the organization’s data culture.
Role Description:
• Deliver information and analytics solutions, applying deep expertise in data science and generative AI to create meaningful business value.
• Design, develop, and optimize generative AI models for applications including text, image, code, and multimodal systems.
• Research and implement advanced approaches in prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and model alignment.
• Translate business requirements into applied AI technical solutions and build domain-specific evaluation metrics for generative tasks.
• Collaborate with all business units to shape the information and analytics adoption roadmap.
• Operate with a risk and control mindset, following governance frameworks for AI projects.
Skills, Experience, Qualifications, and Knowledge Required:
• Proven experience developing and fine-tuning LLMs, diffusion models, and transformer architectures.
• Proficiency with frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and Unix shell scripting; knowledge of pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn.
• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, few-shot learning, in-context learning, and generative AI evaluation.
• Familiarity with vector databases, semantic search, and deployment of scalable microservices with secure server-side APIs.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and applying DevOps methodologies.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS EC2, EMR, or equivalent hybrid data architectures.
• Proven ability to manage multiple AI projects and work with cross-functional, globally dispersed teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills; ability to present technical content clearly.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in data science or generative AI, preferably within financial services, or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience working with multicultural, multi-disciplined, globally distributed teams.
• Professional certifications in AI/ML frameworks, cloud technologies, or DevOps tools (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, TensorFlow, Kubernetes) are advantageous.
