Job Title: Platform & SRE Engineer (Database and Search Platform)
Location: Singapore, Singapore
Department: Cloud Infrastructure and Services – Big Data Platform

Job Description
Responsibilities
• Build and maintain highly available, scalable large-scale databases and search platforms using technologies such as PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
• Design and implement data integration and migration pipelines to ingest data from APIs, files, and other databases.
• Improve platform availability and performance using SRE practices.
• Conduct incident management, including troubleshooting, resolution, and post-mortems of database and search platforms.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers as a subject matter expert in database and search platform engineering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including projects, engineering, and operations, to ensure platform and product usability and alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with database systems, including relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Proficiency in programming languages including Bash, Go, Java, and Python.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies, container orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and observability.
• Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, performance tuning, and data migration.
• Nice to have: experience managing physical and virtual infrastructures, cloud database and search services on AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or Azure Database Services, and a passion for open-source technologies.
