Job Description
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy highly available, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure platforms and services.
• Implement effective infrastructure solutions for cloud networks, storage, virtual machines, security, and disaster recovery.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using infra-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible for repeatable, automated, and version-controlled deployments.
• Build in-system telemetry to analyse and optimise performance and reliability.
• Implement security measures to ensure compliance with organisational standards.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure incidents, identify root causes, and implement resolutions.
• Define, implement, and track SRE metrics, including SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets to enhance system reliability.
• Collaborate with developers and infrastructure stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Perform capacity planning to ensure infrastructure scalability for future demands.
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a STEM-related field with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, storage, and infrastructure operations.
• Proficiency in infra-as-code and scripting tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Linux shell scripts, and PowerShell.
• Understanding of public cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in system operations and administration on enterprise systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience, including scripting and programming.
Nice-to-haves
• Cloud certifications such as AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with metrics/logging systems like Elastic Stack or Prometheus/Grafana.
