Job Title: Data Analyst
Job Description
Our team is seeking highly motivated entry-level scientists, data analysts, and engineers interested in solving challenging technical problems with real-world impact. Analysts will engage in data analysis, modeling, and algorithm development as part of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include developing and implementing techniques for analyzing varied datasets, applying leading-edge data processing and algorithms from academia, and contributing to concepts that address national security challenges. Candidates will work with experienced team members to learn about the homeland protection mission and develop a career path aligned with their technical interests.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (STEM, Economics, or similar).
• Data analysis skills, including exploratory analysis, data cleaning, organization, trend/anomaly detection, and visualization.
• Basic statistical and mathematical data manipulation knowledge.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Willingness to acquire new skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desired Requirements
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Experience with large, complex multidimensional datasets.
• Familiarity with software development and source control tools like GitHub.
• Experience with multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).
