Job Title: Senior Data Scientist
Job Description
Responsibilities
• Drive Strategy & Discovery: Partner with business leaders to translate goals into data-driven hypotheses, proactively identifying complex problems solvable with advanced analytics and machine learning.
• End-to-End Model Development: Manage the full machine learning lifecycle, from prototyping and feature engineering to building, validating, and deploying production-ready models, ensuring quality and real-world impact.
• Quantify Business Impact: Develop frameworks to measure analytical initiatives’ success, communicating the value of models in terms of revenue, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Champion Technical Excellence: Promote best practices in coding, modeling, and MLOps, building scalable, reproducible, maintainable solutions and mentoring team members.
• Lead through Influence: Serve as the central point of contact for projects, collaborating with Data Engineers, Product Managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful model integration and adoption.
• Innovate and Explore: Stay current with cutting-edge techniques and explore new data sources, tools, and methodologies to address emerging business challenges.
Qualifications
• Experience: 5+ years transforming large, complex datasets into actionable analytical solutions; healthcare data experience (claims, eligibility, pharmacy) is highly desirable.
• Education: Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Python or R for statistical modeling, machine learning, and data manipulation; proficiency in SQL and large-scale relational databases (Snowflake preferred); advanced knowledge of end-to-end ML lifecycle; Git experience; strong data visualization skills (Tableau).
• Strategic & Collaborative Mindset: Self-directed, creative problem-solver; able to independently manage complex analytical projects; efficiency-driven with scalable, repeatable solutions; skilled at navigating ambiguity; experience leading Agile projects from discovery to delivery; excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders; natural curiosity and drive to innovate; mentoring capability.
• Minimum Education Requirements: High school degree or equivalent required unless otherwise noted above.
