Job Title: Physical AI Senior Manager – Manufacturing & Supply Chain Location: Boston, MA Employment Type: Regular
Job Description Responsibilities
• Lead Physical AI strategy and advisory for manufacturing and supply chain clients, identifying high-value use cases such as quality inspection, safety, intralogistics, material handling, asset monitoring, and autonomous operations.
• Define solution architecture spanning sensors, computer vision, data pipelines, model development, simulation, edge deployment, and operational workflows (MLOps/ModelOps), with clear acceptance criteria.
• Drive proofs of concept (PoCs) and pilot projects to measurable outcomes, including experiment definition, data collection, evaluation metrics, synthetic data approaches, and scale plans for plant and network rollout.
• Integrate AI solutions with real-world operational constraints, including latency, reliability, safety, OT/IT connectivity, cybersecurity, model drift, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Collaborate with technology partners to translate partner platforms into client-ready reference architectures, demos, and repeatable delivery assets.
• Influence pursuits and proposals, including scoping, estimating, staffing, risk management, and executive-level storytelling. Serve as a technical authority in client workshops and due diligence.
• Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams including data science, ML engineering, software and edge, vision, robotics, controls, and manufacturing experts. Contribute to capability-building and market activation.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including client and team leadership, and sustained contribution to business development.
• Experience in at least two of: industrial computer vision, robotics and autonomy, simulation/digital twins, synthetic data generation, or edge AI deployment.
• Manufacturing and supply chain domain experience across discrete or process manufacturing, quality systems, maintenance, intralogistics, warehouse operations, OT/IT constraints, safety, and compliance.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred:
• Graduate degree (MS/PhD) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Applied Physics, Operations Research, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA, Siemens, or similar Physical AI platforms and ecosystems.
• Demonstrated experience leading client-facing advisory, PoCs, and implementation projects with operational handover.
• Exposure to manufacturing and supply chain technologies including sensing, IIoT connectivity, process/product optimization, automation, fleet operations, ML/data science, and cybersecurity.
• Thought leadership demonstrated via accelerators, reference architectures, demo assets, or publications.
• Business development contributions, including pipeline creation, proposal leadership, and executive stakeholder engagement.
