Job Title: Data Engineering/Architecture Manager (Public Services)

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop enterprise-level data architecture, including data models, databases, and data warehouses.
• Define and enforce data standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Architect and implement data integration, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
• Ensure data quality, security, and scalability across the organization.
• Evaluate and recommend data management tools, technologies, and platforms.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to support data-driven initiatives.
• Optimize database performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in data architecture and technologies.
Qualifications
• Prior experience in public services is advantageous (optional).
• Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, stepping in to solve problems directly when needed.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, database design (relational and non-relational), and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, and data integration technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
