Job Description Position Responsibilities
• Deliver machine learning and AI capabilities across the insurance value chain.
• Manage campaign effectiveness and model maintenance across markets; share best practices regionally.
• Track and report AI project benefits; identify improvement opportunities and new business initiatives.
• Support analytics data strategy by optimizing internal data, identifying external data sources, and contributing to data governance initiatives.
• Lead development of advanced predictive/prescriptive models and other analytical solutions to support profitable growth in Asia markets.
• Collaborate with global teams to establish modeling standards, governance, and umbrella solutions; ensure compliance with AI CoE standards.
• Establish and maintain a regional/global model repository to track and dynamically diagnose models in use.
• Provide expert guidance to in-country Analytics teams for advanced quantitative analyses and modeling in relevant business contexts.
• Enable effective engagement with customers to drive sales using advanced analytics across all channels (Agency, Banca, Digital Direct, etc.).
• Guide AI teams in designing and drawing insights from campaigns, ensuring analytics rigor.
• Institute regional and BU-level analytics tracking/reporting and maintain best practices in campaign management.
• Identify root causes of underperformance and recommend improvements.
• Escalate early risks and propose mitigation actions for respective markets.
• Develop next-year business plans and targets in collaboration with markets.
Required Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning, preferably in retail financial services; insurance/reinsurance experience is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with multivariate analysis, modeling, segmentation, and analytics in underwriting, claims, contact center, or distribution.
• Expertise in building AI/ML models and proficiency with tools/languages such as Python, SAS, R, SQL, or equivalents.
• Experience with big data/cloud solutions (Azure, Hadoop, Hive, Spark) is a plus.
• Strong experience in deploying analytics solutions, including targeting, test-and-control development, and response tracking.
• Proven ability to translate complex business problems into analytical requirements and actionable solutions.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead initiatives from scratch, work independently, and navigate high ambiguity.
• Experience operating in highly regulated environments with data quality and availability challenges.
