Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description
This role sits within a Cloud & Data Centre Solutions business unit that delivers end-to-end cloud management, services, and solutions. The team supports clients from initial cloud setup and migration through to ongoing operations and optimization, including mission-critical environments such as data centres, disaster recovery, and business continuity sites.

Responsibilities
• Design, implement, secure, and manage scalable AWS cloud solutions supporting diverse client requirements.
• Operate and maintain AWS cloud environments in highly regulated and complex settings.
• Lead and execute large-scale cloud infrastructure projects from planning through delivery.
• Apply cloud security best practices, identity management, and networking principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and optimized cloud services.
• Utilize automation and infrastructure-as-code tools to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Support containerized and modern cloud-native architectures where applicable.

Qualifications
• Proven experience operating AWS cloud environments at scale.
• Strong proficiency in core AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and AWS security best practices.
• Experience managing complex cloud projects independently and collaboratively.
• Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Relevant AWS certifications are highly desirable.
