Job Description
Responsibilities
• Install, upgrade, and maintain database systems, applying patches and implementing changes as required.
• Diagnose and resolve database errors to ensure high availability.
• Manage database access, backups, and compliance with security standards.
• Perform critical database changes related to manufacturing and engineering operations.
• Support incident, request, change, and problem management tasks for database operations.
• Ensure SLA targets for incidents and service requests are met with high-quality work.
• Provide on-call support, including outside office hours.
• Monitor and ensure key metrics such as breach case targets, MTTR, and first-level resolution targets are achieved.
• Conduct business continuity planning and capacity forecasting for database systems.
• Collaborate with site stakeholders on new database requirements, problem resolution, and data flow requests.
• Perform database performance tuning to maintain high performance and availability.
• Proactively monitor database performance and analyze cases to prevent recurring issues.
• Review and enhance database monitoring as needed.
• Develop operational procedures and processes related to database management.
• Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
• Engineer automation solutions to improve productivity, reliability, and availability of database systems.
• Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
• Participate in global technical sharing and reference architecture alignment initiatives.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics/Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Databases, Linux and Windows operating systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Java, PowerShell, and Python.
• Strong command of SQL and SQL Server tools.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
