Assistant Project Manager (Data Analytics)

This role involves leading and managing cross-functional teams to deliver projects focused on data analytics platforms, including data lakes, BI tools, dashboards, and data pipelines. The Assistant Project Manager will collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining detailed project plans, encompassing schedules, resources, risk assessments, and budgets. The successful candidate will coordinate with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, and business users to ensure the smooth delivery of analytics solutions. Monitoring project performance using appropriate KPIs, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope, and effectively managing stakeholder expectations at all organizational levels are also crucial aspects of this position. The role also requires ensuring adherence to data governance, security, and compliance policies, and preparing executive status reports and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualities Valued:

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in project management with a focus on data analytics platform delivery.
  • Proven experience leading data platform projects.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, big data, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
