Network Engineer (Building and International Office Network Infrastructure), Assistant Vice President
This role involves supporting the development and implementation of an organization’s wireless, building, branch, and ATM network infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of the bank’s network infrastructure, which includes LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and security systems. This position requires close collaboration with various IT teams, such as Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Applications, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of network services with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of the organization’s wireless, building, branches, and ATM network infrastructure.
- Ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of the bank’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and security systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams, such as Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Applications, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of network services with business requirements.
- Manage relationships with vendors and partners to ensure the timely and effective delivery of network services.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical guides, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements, including data protection and security standards.
- Support the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network services.
- Provide technical guidance and support for ad-hoc network requests and projects, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Perform change requests across all network technologies based on new design standards and business requirements.
- Provide network fault investigation, troubleshooting, resolution, recovery, and root cause analysis.
- Review and implement complex changes and device upgrades in critical environments.
- Deliver and implement network projects according to Bank standards and requirements.

Working Conditions
Flexible working hours may be required to support 24/7 network operations.
Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience is required, with at least 2 years in a banking environment.
- Practical and solid working experience in BAU activities including incident management, root cause analysis, service delivery, project delivery, asset management, regulatory compliance (privileged ID, security baseline reviews), asset management into CMDB, automation (scripting), and documentation SOP.
- Practical knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing network architecture and components including switches, routers, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, and security gateways.
- Technical depth covering core products, specific to management and configuration, with experience in Cisco Switches and Routers, Huawei switches and routers, Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, and Network Admission Control.
- Ability to deep dive network incidents and address root cause analysis using tools such as Solarwinds, Gigamon, and ELK.
- Strong implementation knowledge of protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IPSec, GRE, and STP.
- Deep working knowledge of BGP routing is required.
- Experience with Cisco ACI and EVPN is a bonus.
- Experience in monitoring, tuning, and scripting languages is a plus.
Certification
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CCDA, CCNP etc.) are a plus.
