Global Operations Data Team Lead
Responsibilities
The Global Operations Data Team Lead will be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring a team of CoreOps Data Specialists, offering guidance, coaching, and opportunities for professional development.
- Developing and implementing data analysis strategies to measure, monitor, and optimize core operational KPIs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborating with Operations and Vendor Ops teams to understand their data and analytics needs, translating these requirements into actionable projects for the data specialists.
- Overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for the team.
- Driving the creation of interactive dashboards and reports, utilizing data visualization tools to present insights in a clear and compelling manner.
- Partnering with BI, Data Science, and IT teams to streamline data collection processes, access relevant datasets, and leverage advanced analytics techniques.
- Continuously evaluating and improving internal systems for data processing, cleansing, and storage, implementing best practices and protocols.
- Identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational optimization through in-depth analysis of complex datasets.
- Serving as a liaison between the data team and operational stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and understanding of data-driven insights.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics, applying this knowledge to enhance team capabilities and methodologies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- A proven track record of leading data teams to deliver impactful insights and solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in database design, data modeling, and SQL; familiarity with tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- A strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for operational improvements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including mentorship, team building, and project management skills.
- Experience in the technology operations, online services, or related industry is preferred.
