Data Scientist – Applied AI (Community Insights)
This role involves a data scientist who will be responsible for designing and building core capabilities by leveraging content understanding capabilities, such as natural language processing, machine learning, or computer vision, to extract insights and improve monetization strategies. The individual will develop creative solutions and build prototypes for business problems using algorithms based on the latest deep learning, machine learning, statistics, and optimization techniques. This person will also independently manage end-to-end model development to understand and meet user needs, accelerate automation processes and insight generation. A key aspect of the role is to verify the business value and estimated revenue of projects using methods such as A/B testing, and to collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and scale data science solutions. Furthermore, the data scientist will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to address business needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, ideally in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or related majors that involve working with data, models, or machine learning. A strong foundation in statistical analysis and machine learning is required, along with hands-on experience building and validating predictive models on large datasets. Proven experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing ML models and algorithms is essential. The role demands strong proficiency in programming languages, specifically Python and SQL. Experience in applied machine learning, particularly with Large Language Models (LLMs), and a strong track record of translating data into user insights and product impact, is also necessary. Applicants should have experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and model development. Strong English proficiency with proven experience in communicating analytical and technical content in an easy-to-understand way to both technical and non-technical audiences is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
A clear understanding of data pipeline, model development, model testing, and deployment is preferred. Ideal candidates will demonstrate intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to desegregate issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions. Prior experience in working on community insights or content understanding would be a significant advantage.
